Welcome to my website. My name is Bonnie "Bunnie" Simpson Gilmer, and I
have been doing genealogy research since 1977. I hope to share some of this
with you and to meet many new "cousins" through this site. Much of my work
is documented, but much has also been given to me without documentation.
Please contact me if you have questions, information to share, or
corrections to make.
Through the years, I have researched both my own family lines and those of
my husband, Jim. Most of our ancestors settled in the Upstate of South
Carolina or in Northeast Georgia, with some coming from Pennsylvania,
Virginia, and North Carolina. Some of the immigrants have been traced to
Ireland, England and Germany. Please check my Index of Family Names to see the surnames of our ancestors and collateral relatives.

The Toccoa, GA Newspaper Index is a special project of mine. Started in
early 1998, it is an ongoing project and I will be adding to it on a
regular basis. This includes information from both current and older issues
